எதிரதாக் காக்கும் அறிவினார்க் கில்லை
அதிர வருவதோர் நோய்.
வரப்போவதை முன்கூட்டியே அறிந்து காத்துக் கொள்ளும் அறிவுடையவர்களுக்கு, அவர் நடுங்கும்படியாக வரக்கூடிய துன்பம் ஒன்றும் இல்லை.

भविष्य में आने वाली विपत्ति को पहले से ही जानकर
रोकने वाले ज्ञानी को कोई भयभीत करने वाली विपत्ति नहीं आती।
जो आने वाली विपत्ति को पहले से ही भांपकर उससे बचाव के उपाय कर लेते हैं, उन बुद्धिमानों को कोई भी डरावनी विपत्ति नहीं आती।

To the wise who can guard against what is to come,
There is no evil that can strike them with terror.
There is no calamity that can cause terror to the wise, who guard against future evils.
