சிதைவிடத்து ஒல்கார் உரவோர் புதையம்பிற்
பட்டுப்பா டூன்றுங் களிறு.
உள்ளத்தில் வலிமையுடையவர், அழிவு வந்தபோதும் மனம்தளர மாட்டார்கள். அது, போர்க்களத்தில் பல அம்புகளால் புண்பட்டும் யானை தைரியமாக நிற்பதைப் போன்றது.

मनोबल वाले लोग विनाश के समय भी कमजोर नहीं पड़ते,
जैसे हाथी तीरों से घायल होकर भी मजबूती से खड़ा रहता है।
मजबूत इरादों वाले लोग विनाश के समय भी विचलित नहीं होते, ठीक उसी तरह जैसे एक हाथी युद्ध में कई तीरों से घायल होने के बाद भी दृढ़ता से खड़ा रहता है।

The strong in soul quail not in ruin's hour;
As the firm elephant, when arrows shower.
The strong-minded will not falter in the midst of destruction, just as the elephant stands firm, even when pierced by a shower of arrows.
